Dating from 1890 to 1910 and showcasing the curves and iris that Art Nouveau is known for this brooch is constructed in sterling silver and 18 karat yellow gold. Even with a couple of chips on the enamel of the two iris, this versatile brooch is beautiful.  With a pin back that can be unscrewed and a hook that folds down, the two long hooks at the top were designed for a removable chain that may have been lost at some point or just excellent design versatility.  Measuring 43.7mm wide and 27mm in height plus the hanging pearl that has a diameter of 4.5mm, the other two pearls are approximately 3.5mm.  The 51 old cut diamonds total 0.75 carats
