Sustainable Luxury Since 1975
Founded by Canadian artist John Hardy in 1975, the brand blends traditional craftsmanship with modern design. In 1996, the Workshop and Design Studio was established in Bali using eco-friendly materials, set amidst rice paddies and an organic farm. In 2004, the Kapal Bamboo Boutique was built in Bali, showcasing bamboo architecture.
In 2007, John Hardy partnered with climate activists and farmers to plant bamboo seedlings, ultimately planting over 1.5 million and supporting the Bamboo Village Trust initiative. The brand expanded internationally in 2011 with the opening of its Hong Kong location.
This year, John Hardy celebrates its 50th anniversary with the exclusive JH 50 Collection, honoring five decades of sustainable luxury and craftsmanship.
